Positions in Ubon Ratchathani
Ubon is one of the ‘Big Four’ cities in the North East of Thailand, this area of Thailand is known as Isaan. As one of the bigger cities in Isaan it has all the modern amenities, it has malls, including a Central, it also has Big C and Tesco, plus cafes, cinemas, a night market, bars etc…
The city also holds, for those interested in fitness, several parks and lakes which have running and bicycle tracks, plus outdoor fitness equipment and sports courts like basketball, and football. The city sits on the Mun River which runs eastwards and into the mighty Mekong. The Mun River itself has floating bamboo huts where you can relax and order food, it also has restaurants, cafes, and bars along certain stretches of the river.
On the outskirts of the city there is Highway 217 that links Ubon to Southern Laos, so it has good links for traveling by road, the railway system is on the northeastern route from Bangkok too. Ubon Ratchathani Airport is within the city and has flights to Bangkok, which take around one hour.
The province of Ubon Ratchathani has a few National Parks to visit, within two hours from the city is the Pha Taem National Park, set on cliffs overlooking the Mekong river, it has some spectacular views, and prehistoric wall paintings. Kaeng Tana National Park is close to the mouth of the river Mun where it meets the Mekong, and the Phu Chong Na Yoi National Park is in the south of the province on the border between Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, known as the emerald triangle. There is also ‘Pattaya Noi’ on the Sirindhorn Resevoir, about an hour or so outside the city, a great place to relax, eat, play, and even camp.
Accommodation in the area can be found for 4,500 baht per month upwards. (This would be for a room with air-con and WIFI). Motorbikes can also be hired from the local shops for round 2000baht per month.
About the positions: starts date for Primary is the 16th October 2023 & Kindergarten positions begin on the 24th October 2023.
Female teachers are preferred to teach the kindergarten students.
The successful applicant will receive full pay during the holidays. Assistance with Non-Immigrant B visa; and a work permit will be provided and paid for.
The salary is 35,000 THB per month.
